Just EIGHT years ago, eight men journeyed to take a hungover, rainy, ferry ride to Staten Island from NYC for a day of golf . At the time, this felt like another weekend outing of mediocre golf to be forgotten about a month later. But then something different happened....

On the first tee before the tournament started, one of our founding fathers, Ryan Eddy decided to give a little speech as a joke. He started this speech "Welcome to the first annual.... "

Now, at this point he realized he did not have a name prepared for this tournament, and looked around for inspiration. As fate would have it, The course this day was serving up a special lunch entree, a Meatball Parmesan Sandwich on the menu for the unbelievable price of only $6.95.

"Welcome to the first annual... MEATBALL PARM INVITATIONAL" he announced without one bit of doubt. The tone in his voice was so convincing, the way it rolled off the tongue just so right- nobody could deny that this would turn into something special.

We've now grown every year, and with each year passing we pride ourselves on maintaining the values of the meatballer.
